Privacy Policy

What we collect, why we collect it, and what we will never do with it.

Effective August 15, 2026.

Who we are

Halcyon Experiences, LLC is a Florida limited liability company operating agritourism, cattle work, land and conservation tours, and guided hunting in Hendry County, Florida. This policy covers halcyonexperiences.com and the information we collect when you inquire about or book an experience.

Write to us at PO Box 537, Felda, FL 33930, or email info@halcyonexperiences.com.

What we collect

What you give us. When you use our inquiry form or email us, we collect your name, email address, phone number, the dates and experience you are interested in, the size and makeup of your party, and anything else you choose to tell us — including dietary needs, medical or mobility information, and riding or shooting experience, which we ask for so we can run your day safely.

What we collect on paper. If you visit the ranch, you sign a liability waiver that collects your address, date of birth, emergency contact, and relevant medical information. Those forms are kept as paper or scanned records, not in a public system.

What the website collects automatically. Our site runs on Squarespace, which sets a small number of first-party cookies so the site works and so we can see how many people visit and which pages they read. Squarespace also records general technical information such as IP address, browser type, and referring page.

Cookies

We do not run advertising trackers, remarketing pixels, or third-party ad networks on this site. The cookies in use are:

  • crumb — a security token that protects forms from cross-site request forgery. Necessary.
  • ss_cvr and _tccl_visitor — Squarespace visitor analytics, which count unique and returning visitors.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the security cookie may prevent our inquiry form from working. If we ever add advertising or third-party analytics tools, we will update this policy and add a consent control before turning them on.

How we use your information

To answer your inquiry, plan and run your experience, match you to a suitable horse, keep you safe, take payment, keep records required for insurance and tax, and reply to you afterward. Nothing else.

We do not sell your information

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information for anyone else’s marketing. We do not add you to a mailing list because you inquired. If we ever start a newsletter, you will have to ask for it.

Who else sees it

  • Our website host and email provider, which store the data on our behalf.
  • Our guide and any contractor working your booking, limited to what they need to run it safely.
  • A payment processor, once we take payments, which handles card details directly — we do not store card numbers.
  • Our accountant, attorney, and insurer where the work requires it.
  • Emergency medical or law enforcement personnel if there is an injury or if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Inquiries that do not become bookings are kept for up to two years. Booking records, signed waivers, and financial records are kept as long as our insurer, our accountant, and Florida law require — generally at least seven years for waivers and financial records.

Your choices

Email us and we will tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, subject to records we are required to keep. We will not make you jump through hoops. Because we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context advertising, there is nothing to opt out of.

Children

This website is not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect personal information online from anyone under 13. Young guests are welcome on the ranch, but their information is provided by a parent or guardian in person, on paper.

Security

The site is served over an encrypted connection and access to our email and records is limited to the owners. No system is perfect, and we will tell you promptly if something happens that affects your information.

Links to other sites

We link to outside resources such as the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. We do not control those sites and this policy does not cover them.

Where your information is held

We operate in the United States and our providers store data here. If you contact us from outside the United States, your information will be handled here.

Changes

If we change this policy we will change the effective date at the top. Material changes will be described plainly rather than buried.
